developed by Master Carlos Gracie Jr. to meet the specific learning needs of people from different ages, genders
and levels.
Job Description:
As a Jiujitsu Instructor at Grace Barra Vancouver, your main duties and responsibilities are: Teach and motivate students. Identify strengths and weaknesses of each student and develop their potential skills and abilities. Plan, develop and implement training and practice sessions. Advise on all matters related to the practice of jiujitsu, including its techniques. Develop all activities without interfering with any orientation of the GB System. Plan competitive events. Motivate and prepare students for competitive events or games. Effectively participate in all activities (meetings, trainings, etc.) of the Training Center. Provide practical and emotional support to the team during classes and competition events.
Necessary Skills/Qualifications:
• Black belt in Brazilian Jiujitsu
• IPC Instructor Training Certificate
• Over 3 years of experience training and/or teaching Brazilian Jiujitsu
• Post-secondary education is an asset
Important Information:
• Shifts from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm or 7:30 am to 3:30 pm Monday to Friday.
• Overtime and some Saturdays may be required according to business needs.
